The Florissant Police Department is an internationally accredited law enforcement agency providing professional law enforcement services to one of the largest municipalities in the state of Missouri. The department is headquartered in a contemporary facility located at 1700 North Highway 67, approximately 2 miles north of Interstate I-270.
A staff of 85 sworn officers and 21 civilians are assigned throughout three operational bureaus. The Bureau of Field Operations is the largest and most visible component of the department and includes the uniformed police officers responsible for the around the clock patrol of the community. The Bureau of Investigation includes the detectives assigned to Criminal Investigation and the Evidence Technician Unit, as well as the corrections officers who are responsible for supervising the detention of prisoners.
